Gessner

A pencil like no other: designed more than 400 years ago, the Gessner combines tradition with originality.

The Gessner was first used in the Middle Ages. Conrad Gessner, a Swiss scientist and inventor, first illustrated this wooden pencil in one oh his many books. Carefully recreated by us it is now an ideal sketching instrument with pencil or coloured leads.

The Gessner-Ensemble, carved from high quality wood, includes a case, sandpaper and board, a slate, a penknife, leads of various grades or a jute pouch.
